On May 3, 2022, it was announced on social media that their East Colonial location would be serving until May 6th and would then join their Downtown location starting May 23rd. U Roll Sushi expressed gratitude to their patrons at the East Colonial location and hoped to see them again at the Downtown location. Prior to this announcement, on January 21, 2022, they showcased locally crafted desserts by 4 Chambers Dessert Vibes at their East Colonial location. They offered Thai Tea Crepe Cake and Matcha Tiramisu while supplies lasted. On New Year's Day, they greeted their customers with well wishes for a healthy and wealthy year of 2022 and were open at the East Colonial location. Some of the highlighted dishes featured on social media included the Earthquake Bowl with spicy tuna, salmon krab salad, avocado, seaweed salad, dynamite topping, sesame seed, and sweet Sriracha; and the Nirvana Roll consisting of shrimp tempura, salmon, krab salad, avocado, mango, sesame seed, and eel sauce. However, as of an unspecified date after May 6th in an undisclosed year U Roll Sushi has permanently closed.
